Is it from a Protected Species?
A client inherited a home in Paris and approached us for the removal and transport of the contents from Paris to Dallas. Amongst the precious family heirlooms was a daybed in shagreen from the 1920s. Our import team conducted research to get all the necessary information to confirm the species in question and compile the type of clearance and requirements needed. We ensured this particular shagreen, an untanned leather prepared by traditional French technique, was not a protected species in the U.S.
“I’M AMAZED THEY MADE SOMETHING SO COMPLICATED, SEEMINGLY EASY.”
Prior to the move, the project manager reviewed all the steps to offer the client possible options protecting them from late surprises. The client chose his preference while the project manager handled all customs documentation necessary.
